This page describes how to request deletion of your personal data at Scaleupsystems UG (haftungsbeschränkt), also known as Scaleupsystems UG haftungsbeschränkt. It also serves as the Data Deletion Instructions URL required by the Meta platforms (Instagram / Facebook Graph API).

1. What data do we hold?

We process two categories of personal data:

• Account data of Scaleupsystems customers: name, email address, billing data, app credentials.
• End-user data via Meta APIs: content of automated 1:1 messages, Instagram User IDs, AI-generated conversation metadata — processed on behalf of our clients (Art. 28 GDPR).

2. How to request deletion

Send a short email to support@scaleupsystems.ai with the following information:

• Subject line: "Data deletion request — Art. 17 GDPR"
• The email address you registered with us, or your Instagram handle
• Optional: which data exactly should be deleted (e.g. only conversations, only account)

3. Processing time

We process deletion requests within 30 days of receipt as required by Art. 17 GDPR. You will receive a written confirmation as soon as the deletion is complete.

In rare cases — for instance when statutory retention periods apply (e.g. invoices as accounting vouchers under § 147 AO, 8 years) — we will inform you about the affected data and the exact date of later deletion.

4. Deletion of Meta / Instagram data

When you uninstall our application from your Instagram or Facebook account or revoke the permissions, the associated end-user message data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Active conversations are stored for a maximum of 24 months, closed/ended conversations for a maximum of 12 months unless deletion is requested earlier.

You can revoke the connection to our app yourself any time via:

• Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites → ScaleUpSystems AI Setter → Remove
• Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations → ScaleUpSystems AI Setter → Remove

5. Other rights (GDPR)
